Topstep
2025 - Present | Product & Design Leadership
Building Topstep’s first Product Design organization while leading 0–1 product strategy across multi-pillar financial trading consumer experiences, AI-enabled trader support, and the operating systems required for design to scale.
Build the Ecosystem
Topstep Ecosystem Strategy
Topstep had multiple underdeveloped growth vectors that had not yet been clearly named or connected to one another, including education, community, entertainment, and gamification. I identified those opportunities and authored a company-level ecosystem vision that reframed them as a cohesive strategy to compound trader value. That work helped shape product vision, clarify ownership gaps, and inform the team structure required to pursue it.
Reflection: Strategy becomes real when it changes how teams organize, decide, and build.
TOPSTEP SNAPSHOT
Build the Team
Building a 9-person Product Design Organization
Topstep’s product ambitions were outpacing its design capacity, shared standards, and leadership infrastructure. I scaled Product Design from non-existent to a 9-person, multi-pillar organization by building the systems that support the team: hiring frameworks, competency models, onboarding programs, and leadership expectations. The result was a clearer, more scalable design discipline capable of supporting trading, mobile, admin tooling, design systems, and emerging AI-enabled experiences.
Reflection: Hiring is architecture. The people you hire determine the decisions your organization can make.
Build the Narrative
Leadership Communication & Alignment
As the team scaled through shifting priorities and organizational change, process alone was not enough to keep people aligned. I created WHALE as a recurring leadership communication system that translated principles, operating philosophy, and change into shared language. That language helped the team make sense of context, align around expectations, and make stronger decisions together.
Reflection: Processes coordinate work. Narratives coordinate and motivate people.
Build the System
Distributed Decision-Making
As Product Design scaled, too many decisions were still routed through me, creating a bottleneck for the team and the business. I built a distributed operating model through clearer ownership expectations, critique systems, executive review practices, and leadership development. The result was a discipline less dependent on a single leader: designers brought work directly into review, cross-functional partners owned more of the preparation, and the system held through my absence without escalation.
Reflection: Leadership maturity is measured by what happens when you are absent.
Build the Future
AI-Native Product Design
As generative AI made creation faster and cheaper, the risk was that Product Design would adopt tools without evolving its judgment, discovery, or decision-making practices. I developed AI-Literacy to AI-Fluency frameworks, maturity models, and operating practices that spread organically beyond Product Design. These tools helped teams shift the conversation from AI usage toward evidence quality, risk reduction, and stronger product judgment in a world where generation is abundant, and judgment becomes increasingly scarce.
Reflection: In the AI era, judgment is becoming the defining advantage.

Build the Flywheel
AI-Enabled Accessibility Remediation
AudioEye’s accessibility remediation work depended on customers, expert auditors, implementers, internal teams, and business decision-makers, but the system was difficult to view as a single connected product opportunity. I mapped those relationships into a clearer AI-enabled remediation flywheel, helping the organization understand where human expertise, automation, and customer observability could reinforce one another.
Reflection: The most useful design artifact is sometimes the model that helps an organization finally see the system it operates within.
Build the Future
AudioEye Accessibility Remediation
AudioEye had a strategic AI opportunity in accessibility remediation, but it needed to move from possibility into a testable product direction. I developed a roadmap proposal for AI-enabled expert verification and validation efficiency, which was accepted by the CEO and planned for Q1. Based on internal modeling, the effort could reduce validation time by 114 minutes, increase quarterly audit capacity by 16%, and create a potential 8% revenue lift.
Reflection: AI becomes most valuable when it strengthens human judgment rather than replacing it.

META SNAPSHOT
Build the System
Hiring Readiness
Meta org leaders were relying on manually maintained, lagging hiring documentation, which made it difficult to assess pipeline health or intervene quickly. I designed and shipped a hiring readiness experience that consolidated hiring momentum, stalled activity, and position-level signals into a single place. The result was a clearer decision surface that helped leaders identify where the system needed attention and take corrective action faster.
Reflection: Good internal tools do more than display data; they help leaders see where the system needs attention.
Build the Platform
Onboarding Admin
Meta’s onboarding data lived across scattered, privacy-sensitive, and lagging reporting systems, creating risk for leaders trying to understand new-hire support at scale. I shaped a 0→1 onboarding admin product with engineering-ready specs and shared People Products components, turning scattered signals into a faster, safer way to understand onboarding health across the organization.
Reflection: Platform work creates leverage when one product surface turns scattered signals into reusable organizational intelligence.
